A lake suction system pumps water from a lake. These systems can be simple or complex, but generally consist of a self-cleaning screen, a suction line, a centrifugal pump, and a controller. The system is housed in a fiberglass pump house.
When a well is damaged or no longer in use a well abandonment is performed. Proper well abandonment is important as it prevents contaminants (such as fertilizer) from entering the ground water (aquifer). The State of Florida legally requires that a well abandonment be performed by a licensed well driller.
A water treatment system will help remove impurities from your water. Water Works. Inc. can repair an existing water treatment system, install a new system customized to your water conditions, and test your water for quality with a certified laboratory.
By using a constant pressure system to regulate the speed of your pump, you will not lose water pressure during high usage. The system consists of a pump and motor, a variable frequency drive, a small tank, and pressure transducer. The variable frequency drive is capable of speeding up or slowing down the pump depending on how much water is being used. This eliminates pump cycling and can increase the life of the motor. This type of system can be installed on any well or lake suction system.
Turbine pumps are large pumps used in the agricultural field. They can run on electric or diesel-powered engines. Water Works, Inc. can install new pumps or make repairs to existing pumps. Even if they are in hard to access areas!
